Listening to singer/songwriter, Laurie Hanson Roberts  allows one to experience her genuine heart and deep passion for music.  From singing with "Heartland", a Dallas-based country and western band, to singing on stage of the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, Laurie's range of style has brought her much acclaim.  The beauty of Laurie's voice is mesmerizing.  Her audiences hang on every crystal clear note.

Laurie is a native of the Dallas area and grew up singing in local churches.  She felt her calling from an early age. Laurie holds music degrees from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and graduate music degrees from Meadows School of the Arts and Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas.

​​While she was pursuing her studies, Laurie became a much sought after studio musician.  Her versatility and ability to sing most any style landed her in some of Dallas' most prestigious recording studios.

​

​Laurie has sung all over the world.  From being featured soloist at the International Church Music Festival in Coventry, England to singing in churches in Germany and France, her music moves and inspires all who hear.  Her training is classical, but her style is contemporary and deeply spiritual.

​

Amidst her traveling schedule, Laurie has always felt a strong call to the local church.  She has served as the minister of music for the past 14 years at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church in Frisco, Texas.  Laurie can be found leading worship for this dynamic congregation most any Sunday.  Laurie resides in Frisco, with her husband, Bill, also a musician, and their son Jacob.
